I Built a Custom Phone Mount for a 1964 Bus Livestream
Insta360 support suggested a drone. The drone couldn't do 65mph all day while dodging overpasses. So I built this instead.
The rear camera on Horton's 2,200 mile trip home to Chicago needed to survive oil mist, two-stroke vibration, and whatever the weather throws at it between Yakima and Illinois. A GoPro couldn't do it. A drone was briefly on the table. What I ended up with was a Pixel 8 Pro embedded in moldable silicone inside an aluminum enclosure, held together with more clay than I'd like to admit.
It should work. I'll find out May 8th.
Everything I used to build it.
